Shooting is only half the job. Once a phone holds a few hundred watermarked photos — site visits, deliveries, listings, trips — the library becomes the tool that matters: can you find last Tuesday’s inspection shots, prove what was in the batch you sent, or hand a client a clean set? That is what gallery management in TempoAI Camera is for.

This guide walks through the whole gallery: the four modes, the filters, every action on a photo, the details (EXIF) panel, multi-selection, the PDF library — and, just as important, the things to watch out for so you do not lose files or metadata you meant to keep.

Quick answer: the gallery in TempoAI Camera reads your watermarked photos and videos from the system media library and gives you four modes (All photos, the app album, the system album and Favorites), filters by type, day/month/year and folder, a details panel with the full capture data, per-item actions (share, crop or trim, enhance, favourite, rename, wallpaper, copy, delete, export PDF), a multi-selection with select-all-filtered, and a PDF list that manages the reports you have generated. Everything happens on the device.

Four Modes: Where You Are Looking

ModeWhat it showsWhy it matters
All photosImages and videos from the folders the app can accessYour everyday view of everything the gallery knows about
App albumOnly the files this app saved — by default under Pictures/TempoAICamera (photos) and Movies/TempoAICamera (trimmed videos)Keeps work photos separate from downloads, memes and screenshots
System albumThe device’s own media library, folder by folderReach a picture that was taken with another camera, or the system save location
FavoritesThe items you starred, in one listClient sets, the shots you are still working on, or the best of a trip

The system album needs media permission. On recent Android versions you can grant access to selected photos only, in which case the list will legitimately look shorter than your real library — that is the operating system hiding the rest, not the app losing files.

Views, Filters and Paging

  • Grid density — change how many thumbnails fit per row depending on whether you are browsing or hunting for one shot.
  • Type filter — all, photos only, or videos only.
  • Date filter — narrow to a day, a month or a year.
  • Folder filter — restrict the list to one album folder; the folder list is built from what is actually on the device.
  • Summary counts — the number of items in the current view at a glance.
  • Pull to refresh, load more — the list pages in as you scroll and can be refreshed after shooting outside the app; “all loaded” tells you when you have reached the end.
  • Pinch to zoom — open a photo and pinch to inspect the watermark or the detail you shot.

Every Action on a Photo or Video

ActionWhat it doesNotes
SendShare the file to another app or contactThe watermark is already baked into the file, so it travels with the photo
EditFor a photo: open the crop tool. For a video: open the trim toolThe same button adapts to the media type
EnhancePhotos only — open the in-app editor for that saved image, with its own save options (quality, and the option to also save an invisible watermark)Hidden for videos
FavoriteStar the item so it appears in the Favorites modeStored by the app as a list of file references (see the cautions below)
DeleteRemove the file from the deviceThere is no recycle bin inside the app — see the cautions
Export PDFBuild a report from this photo, or from the current selectionCovered in detail in the PDF report workflow

More → Copy to clipboardCopy the item to the clipboardHandy for pasting straight into a chat or a document
More → RenameGive the file a new nameIt renames the file itself, so the new name is what you see in any gallery app
More → Set as wallpaperUse a photo as the device wallpaperVideos offer “set as live wallpaper” instead
More → Read hidden watermarkDecode the invisible watermark from an image and show itOnly works if the data is still in the file — see the cautions

The Details Panel: Every Piece of Evidence

The details view is where a watermarked photo proves itself. Depending on the file, it can show:

  • Shooting time and file information (resolution and size; for video, duration, frame rate and bitrate).
  • Shooting parameters — camera and exposure data, and for dual-camera shots the rear and front camera values plus the layout that was used.
  • Altitude, location and the file path — tap the location to open it in a maps app.
  • Watermark type — visible, hidden (invisible watermark) or original.
  • Weather and air quality as recorded at capture time.
  • Custom text — the lines you stamped on the photo, such as a project or unit number.

Copying these values out of the panel is how you answer questions weeks later without hunting for the original spreadsheet.

Multi-Selection: Batches Without the Tedium

  • Selection counter — always shows how many items are selected.
  • Select all in the current filter — pick the day, month, folder or type first, then select everything that is left.
  • Select / unselect a whole day — the fastest way to build “today’s photos” for a report.
  • Cancel all — clears the selection without leaving selection mode.
  • Batch actions — share, delete, or export the selection to PDF.

The PDF List: Your Generated Reports

Reports have their own manager, because once you send them, you still need to find them again. The PDF list has two categories:

  • App PDF — the reports the app generated from your selections.
  • System PDF — PDF files on the device; if the default view is empty, use the folder picker to point the list at the folder where your PDFs live.

From the list you can open a report, share it again, or delete it (with a confirmation that makes clear the deletion cannot be undone).

Cautions: What to Watch Out For

PointWhat actually happensHow to stay safe
Deleting is realThe file is removed from the device’s media library. The app has no recycle bin, and files created by other apps may be refused unless the system grants permissionExport the PDF or share the set before cleaning up; keep a backup of anything you might need as evidence
Favorites are referencesA favourite is stored as a link to the file. If the file is moved or deleted outside the app, the favourite stops resolvingUse Favorites as a working list, not as an archive
Renaming touches the real fileThe rename is applied to the file itself, so every app sees the new name — including the system galleryKeep the extension intact, and rename before you build a report if the file name appears on the page title
Automatic naming rules are for new filesThe filename pattern (date, location, custom text, sequence number) is applied when a photo is saved, not retroactively to the existing librarySet the pattern up before a project starts, and rename individually when you must
Metadata can be stripped on the wayWeather, air quality, custom text and GPS live in the file’s metadata. Chat apps and editors that re-encode an image often drop it; social platforms usually remove GPSRely on the visible watermark for proof, and share the PDF report when the metadata matters
Hidden watermarks need the original fileReading an invisible watermark only works while the encoded data is intact — screenshots, heavy re-compression or cropping can destroy itKeep the original file; treat the invisible watermark as a bonus, not the only protection
System album access is limited by AndroidWith “selected photos only” permission the app cannot see the rest of the libraryGrant full media access if you need to browse everything, or work from the app album
Custom folders are a VIP capabilityAdding, renaming and choosing save folders belongs to the optional VIP features; without it the app saves to its default folderIf folder structure matters for a project, set it up (or subscribe) before the first shot
Live wallpaper depends on the file and deviceSetting a video as the live wallpaper can report “unsupported” for some clips or devicesTry a shorter, standard-resolution clip
A generated PDF is separate from the photosDeleting photos later does not change an existing PDF, and deleting a PDF does not touch the photosDecide which artefact is your archive — usually the photos, with PDFs as the delivery format

Three Workflows the Gallery Makes Easy

  1. Keep a project tidy. Set the automatic filename pattern with the project name, shoot into the project folder, then browse with the folder filter; favourites hold the shots that still need annotating.
  2. Close out a visit. Filter to today, select all, export the PDF, share it — then use the details panel on one photograph to confirm the address and time you are quoting.
  3. Curate a trip. Filter by month, favourite the keepers, and use the image-only PDF layout as a quick visual album for family or clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the app save my photos and videos?

By default to Pictures/TempoAICamera for photos and Movies/TempoAICamera for trimmed videos, so they appear in the system gallery like any other capture. Custom save folders are available as a VIP capability.

Can the gallery show photos that were not taken with the app?

Yes. The system album mode reads the device’s media library (subject to the permission you granted), and the folder filter lists the folders that actually exist on the device.

What is the difference between Edit and Enhance?

Edit adapts to the media type — crop for a photo, trim for a video. Enhance appears for photos only and opens the in-app editor for that saved image, where you can also choose the save quality and optionally save an invisible watermark copy.

Can I rename a photo?

Yes, from the More menu. The rename is applied to the file itself, so other apps and file managers see the new name too. The automatic filename pattern, by contrast, only applies to photos taken after you set it.

How do I find a photo quickly?

Combine the filters: the app album to leave out everything else, the date filter for the day or month, the folder filter for a specific project, and the type filter to see only videos or only photos. Favourites keep your short list on hand.

Are deleted photos recoverable?

Not through the app — there is no recycle bin. Recovery depends on your device’s own trash or backup, so treat deletion as final and export the report before you clean up.

Why do my weather and air-quality values disappear in some apps?

Those values live in the file’s metadata, and apps that re-encode an image — including most chat apps — often drop metadata. The visible watermark is always part of the picture; the details panel remains intact on the original file.

What is “Read hidden watermark”?

It decodes the invisible watermark embedded in a photo, showing the information inside it. It works on images that still contain that data — screenshots and heavy re-compression can destroy it.

Make the Library Work for You

A gallery is not a filing cabinet — it is the place where your evidence gets organised, verified and handed over. Set up naming and folders before a project, filter instead of scrolling, and export before you delete.

  1. Install TempoAI Camera: TempoAI Camera on Google Play
  2. Shoot with a watermark template so every file carries its own data — see the complete watermark camera guide
  3. Organise with filters and favourites, then export the batch as a PDF report
